Tribute to Retiring President of Archery SA

In announcing the retirement of the president of Archery South Africa, Stefan van der Linde, the vice-president, Selwyn Moskovitz, paid tribute to the years of service he has given to the sport. Mr Linde is currently undergoing expansion of his businesses, which will result in less time given to the sport on a national level.
“Stefan has been instrumental in ensuring that all aspects of the sport are united on the highest possible level. The member associations which cover Olympic, field, recreational, school and bow-hunting now all have a voice to the Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sport”.
“Under his leadership we have a new Constitution and pathway to transform the sport of archery and unleash the full sporting potential by providing a roadmap for the member associations through a structured system to our stakeholders”.
Presidency of Archery South Africa alternates on a three year cycle between the SA National Archery Association (SANAA) and the SA National Indoor and Field Association (SANIFAA), with the current presidency held by SANIFAA.

The role of president for 2012 will remain with SANIFAA with the second delegate, Marietjie Fryer, well known to the archery community and who has been an active delegate to Archery South Africa for a number of years. She currently hold the position of Vice President Field in SANIFAA.
